Introduction

The purpose of this portfolio is to exhibit the competencies I have acquired from the Online Instructional Development (ODL) Certification Program at College of Education, Florida State University.

Through this rigorous curriculum, I was exposed to graduate level training in basic concepts and skills necessary to design and develop open and distance learning programes. I was introduced to (1) prominent instructional design models such as the Dick & Carey model and the systematic ADDIE model used in instructional systems design, (2) various learning and instructional theories including research work by the prominent late Dr Robert M. Gagne and (3) the use of media for seamless integration of technology with learning.

I had the benefit of having Dr Allan Jeong who first introduced me to the exciting world of online learning via the Introduction to Distance Learning Class. He provided me with valuable insights and excited me with the theory and applications on a variety of online learning issues.

It is my pleasure to present you this portfolio. Enjoy!.
